Originally from Düsseldorf, Germany — now living in Mauritius. As a certified teacher of German as a Foreign Language (DaF), I've helped learners from all over the world build the confidence to actually speak.
What I enjoy most isn't teaching grammar. It's helping people reach the moment where German starts feeling natural.
Why I teach
I've lived the exact disorientation my students describe: building a life, a personality, a sense of humour in a language that isn't the one you grew up in. Teaching German isn't just a job for me — it's the thing I know best how to make less lonely.
I care less about covering every grammar rule and more about the moment a student stops translating in their head and starts just talking. That moment is what every lesson is built toward.
